Kristina Madeleine Margareta Melén
Welcome to my page! My name is Kristina Melén and reside in Frisco, TX.
I was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. My parents are Mary and Henrik Melén. My mother is American and my father is a naturalized citizen from Sweden. I am fortunate to be a dual citizen and enjoy spending time in both countries.
I moved to Frisco, Texas when I was 3 years old. Shortly there after, I began playing soccer at the Frisco Youth Soccer Association. While playing for the Blue Bonnets I found a sport that I loved. At the age of 6 I had the wonderful opportunity to play Academy Soccer and I joined the Dallas Texans Soccer Club. I eventually joined the ranks of Select Soccer and played for FC Dallas Premier for 2 years. I then returned to the Texans where I have spent my last 4 years playing in Division 1in the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League. Last year I was also selected to play for the Dallas Texans ECNL Composite U15 and U16 teams. This year I will be playing on the FC Dallas U19 ECNL Composite.
In addition to playing soccer, I am also a very accomplished musician. I have been playing the trumpet since 6th grade and I love it. At John Paul II High School, I made the TAPPS All State Band as a Sophomore and as a Freshman. I also played the Trumpet solo in our 2016 All State Marching Competition where we place 2nd and received the awards for "Best Marching" and "Best Musicality". This year I played the duet at the 2017 All State Marching Competition. I was selected for the "Outstanding Sophomore Award" this year, and last year I was selected for All Region Band and receive the "Outstanding Freshman Award" for John Paul II High School Band. I have set my goal to make the All State Band next year as well.
